Osteoarthiritis





The disease is most commonly found in the hands, but it also affects weight- bearing joints such as the knees and hips, and also the joints of the spine.
In the early stages, you just feel stiffness (inability to move easily ) and movement may become a little difficult. Patients may not suffer any pain at this point. However, in the late stages of the condition, bone spurs called osteophytes – abnormal bone projections that develop along the edges of bones – can form.
